“RīgasRitmi” (The Rhythms of Riga) is an international contemporary jazz festival that takes place in Riga every year since 2001 in the first week of August. Now it has turned into one of the major jazz festivals in Europe. It is a real celebration of music where such world-class stars as Diane Reeves, Take 6, Bobby McFerrin, BBC Big Band, Grace Kelly, Richard Bona and many others have participated.

            “RīgasRitmi” offers a musical journey around the world, familiarizing its audience with the rhythms of Africa, Brazil, flamenco, ladino etc. Festival also offers master classes where young music enthusiasts can test their skills in the guidance of experienced masters. “RīgasRitmi” also organizes some free open-air concerts.
