Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev was General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (and thus political leader of the Soviet Union) from 1964 to 1982, serving in that position longer than anyone, except Joseph Stalin. Some call it the “golden age” of the union. During this period the Soviet Union reached the peak of its political and strategic power.
Government Dacha N2 or a two story cottage “Baltic Breeze” was built and designed in 1972 and it’s located in Jurmala.
It has 2 stories, separate apartment rooms, working quarters, kitchen, cozy fireplace, library, movie theater, billiard room, sauna and a swimming pool. During the Soviet times it has been a recreational area for the soviet party leaders.
Today Government Dacha No2 allows everyone to plunge into its unique atmosphere of the Soviet Union.
Government Dacha N2 is officially open for everyone since 15th of July 2009.
